'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.' Matthew 25:40
Here at FCCHH serving others and reaching out to our community in love is an essential part of what we are called to do. We serve because it expresses the Spirit of who we are and of the One who lives in us. We serve because God has said it's the right thing to do. We serve because it's what Jesus did and taught us to do. We want to be the physical hands and heart of Jesus in the world today.
After gradually increasing our service over several years we decided to commit 2011 to the Lord as a Year of Service. We completed a variety of projects throughout the year, all of the little things added up to a big impact in our community. Through the projects planned by the church we had 864 volunteers donate over 2600 hours of their time serving others in Christ's name.
Even though the Year of Service is over our commitment to service has not ended, there are always a number of projects you can participate each month. You can find more information and sign-up here on the website or at the Service Station in the church lobby.

Project One Hope
Matthew 28:19-20 says "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." This is the Great Commission of Christ.
Here at FCCHH we want to be part of fulfilling the Great Commission and supporting missions in the US and around the world is a big part of what we do. Each week 16% of all offerings are designated for this purpose. We have a committee of volunteers that oversee the mission funds and determine what projects to support. It is the desire of the Mission Committee to partner with organizations around the world in spreading the Gospel. Below you will find a list of the Missionaries we currently support.
The Mission Committee is also responsible for planning and overseeing short term mission opportunities that encourage members of the congregation to leave the confines of our church building and be part of fulfilling the Great Commission. Click here to find more about our upcoming short term trip.
